Morph: enhancing school facilities
Word has spread about the versatility of Morph Bricks and the transformations that can be quickly and effectively realised in a short space of time.
Having successfully transformed a large classrooom into two new enhanced spaces in a primary school in Bracknell, word spread and we've received a number of enquiries from local schools in the area.
The latest project considered a number of layout problems and in a few short weeks we were able to design various solutions for various areas.
We first looked at redesigning a large room to create a staffroom at one end and a private area for kids at the other, replacing the upholstered screen dividers which were not meeting the requirements of the space. We also considered creating a secluded corner in a classroom for separate work during class times or quiet well-being spaces which would be effective for the pupils using the new space without compromising classroom activities.
The priority however was to maximise unused spaces and the final design looked to transform an unused large nook off a main corridor into a much needed well-being area.
Creating a new well-being area for children
Two Morph Dividers, each 2m tall x 1.65m long, were built to section off the unused space along a corridor. Exploiting the versatility of the product, we created one free-standing divider, and provided wall fixings for added stability in the other to accommodate an existing radiator.
Using recycled ABS bricks, we added colour to the design using dark green bio composite bricks in a random design. The dark green was chosen to reflect the school's brand colour scheme.
The final outcome was a new private area to support pupils in need of specialist provision.
Quick and Effortless Installation
With stock already available, we completed the project within 3 weeks of receiving the order. The installation took under 3 hours with minimal disruption to other works underway around the school.
The school now has a new specialist area approximately 4m x 1.5m, ready to be put to full use at the start of next term! The staff aim to decorate and furnish the new well-being area with help from the children, to meet personal requirements and preferences.
We are delighted to have been able to provide an effective affordable solution!
