It was great to partner with RAP Interiors recently on what was a unique challenge for us – designing a reception desk that could move with the space. Their client, a forward-thinking school, wanted a solution that combined sustainability, flexibility, and style for their busy atrium.
A Reception Desk That Adapts
The school’s atrium is a dynamic hub used for events, displays, and day-to-day activity. They needed a reception desk that could be easily relocated, without compromising on strength or aesthetics. Our modular Morph system was the perfect fit — designed to adapt to changing spaces while keeping environmental impact to a minimum.
Smart Design, Sustainable Build
Working closely with the RAP Interiors team, we created an eight-piece modular reception desk built entirely from white recycled ABS Morph bricks, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable materials and circular design.
To ensure the structure could withstand daily use, key joints were riveted to add strength and allow each module to be moved easily. Integrated cable management channels kept the design clean and functional.
Fast Turnaround, Effortless Installation
With the new school term fast approaching, speed was essential. From design approval to installation, the entire project was delivered in just four weeks. On-site assembly took just over an hour — the desk sections simply slid into position and locked together using carefully placed top caps within the cable management spaces to link the sections.
Built for the Future
Thanks to its modular design, the desk can be reconfigured into new layouts or expanded as the school’s needs evolve. And when it’s no longer required, every component can be reused or repurposed, supporting the school’s sustainability goals and our shared commitment to a closed-loop approach.
